Appointments may be scheduled by calling 252-695-0424. For your first visit, you will be asked to arrive 15 minutes early to allow for registration and medical forms to be completed. Our desire is to minimize your waiting time. Please click here to download the forms and fill out ahead of time.

As our time is valuable, we discourage no show appointments. Please contact our office if you are running late, or unable to make a scheduled appointment. This allows us to see someone else who may need our services more urgently. Patients arriving late for an appointment may be asked to reschedule or be seen on a work-in basis. The office reserves the right to charge for patients who no-show without notifying this office.

Insurance & Fees

We accept most insurance plans. Patients Co-payments and deductibles are expected at time of service during check-in. It is our pleasure to file your claims electronically; however it is your responsibility to provide us with your insurance card at the time of your visit. Our office accepts Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards.

After Hours Care

Our practice provides an on-call physician 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Dr. Jones shares this call with other established family physicians in the area. You can reach our answering service after hours at our regular phone number, 252-695-0424. Calls are screened, and a prompt response to urgent needs should be available. Routine calls will be screened and you may be asked to call during regular office hours. Admissions are generally provided through the hospitalist Program at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Jones is on active staff, and will communicate with these physicians as appropriate.


Our normal policy is to provide refills of chronic medications at the time of your scheduled visit. For this reason, you should bring your medications to your scheduled appointment. This allows greater accuracy, and less room for errors in your medication dosage, amounts, pharmacy, etc. Routine refills which are requested outside of an appointment are completed during our normal office hours only. Please contact your preferred pharmacy directly for these refills, and the pharmacy in turn will contact us. Please allow 24 hours for routine refills.

In general, it is difficult to diagnose problems accurately on the telephone, so treatment such as antibiotics and pain medications will not be called in over the phone. Therefore it is necessary for you to make an appointment.

As a general rule, our office will not treat chronic pain with narcotic medications. For those situations where these medications may be necessary, you will be referred to an appropriate pain management facility.


Our office is required to obtain your permission by written consent to disclose medical information to other parties. In this process, we are compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, otherwise known as HIPAA. Each patient will be provided with a copy of the HIPAA guidelines, and sign and acknowledgement of understanding. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this policy before signing. Your privacy is of utmost importance to this practice.

Phone Calls

Our office receives many calls each day. As a result, it is impossible for your physician to return each call personally. Therefore, your calls during business hours will be triaged by the front office. Our nurse and office manager are well trained to handle most issues that may arise. In most cases, we will try to handle these calls by the close of the day.
